Still content is the King
Why still content is the king? Many says content is no more a king. But that is not true. Content plays an important role for a website. Google still considers good content as a ranking factor. If you want to test it, simply remove the content from a high ranked web page and wait for a few weeks. You can see the drop in ranks, sometimes the page itself is filtered(hidden) from the search results.
Google gives much important to the page content. Google wants the content to be unique, useful and up to date. If you copy content from other websites to your website, both websites will face duplicate content issues and ranks will drop. I have seen websites responding to good content. I know a website which is 5 years old, good popularity in social media, good number of quality back links. But the website is not displayed in the search results, only because of the low quality, copied content. Digging further, I noticed that the page consists of one single paragraph made of 20 to 30 lines, but each sentence is copied from various websites. Now we all know why the website was filtered from the search results. To remove the website from the omitted results and bring it back in search results, all what we need to do is, to add rich content related to the page topic and submit to Google for reconsideration. After submitting to Google, wait for a few weeks and you can see the website will appear again in the search results.

A website with good natural content is preferred by the visitors and the search engines. A visitor likes to read useful information than the distracting images or styles. When the content is impressive, visitor stays in the page for a long time and navigates other pages too, thus decreasing the Bounce Rate of the website which is another factor Google considers.
Write good content, make sure the content of each inner page is unique and useful. Do not copy the content from other website, as no one is benefited by such act.
